From the peaks of the “Little Tibet” to the interiors of Hotel Spöl, every detail reflects an authentic, warm, and deeply immersive hospitality concept. Located in the heart of Livigno, the hotel reinterprets alpine wellness through enveloping spaces, natural materials, and a decorative lighting project by Slamp, designed to accompany the guest experience with emotional and scenic light.
Long defined as a “human-centered hotel,” Hotel Spöl places personal wellbeing at the core of its philosophy, transforming every area into a space to experience slowly: from the spa and swimming pool to the herbal tea area, the lobby, and wellness treatment rooms. Outside, trekking trails, mountain bike routes, and walks along the Spöl river blend with the Alta Valtellina landscape; inside, light and architecture shape a contemporary retreat with a strong emotional identity.
Slamp’s decorative lighting project enhances this narrative with 31 lamps installed throughout the hotel’s main spaces. The pool area represents the visual centerpiece of the intervention: a suspended composition of 12 Veli Copper and 4 Fiorella Suspension lamps creates a striking luminous installation reflected on the water, amplifying the perception of space. The metallic surfaces of the Veli lamps interact with the warm ambient light, generating vibrant reflections and a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.
Fiorella Suspension lamps also appear in the herbal tea area, where their organic and lightweight shapes help create an intimate and relaxing ambiance. At the reception, two Hanami lamps welcome guests with their sculptural presence inspired by nature, while the steam bath and massage area feature Accordéon lamps, introducing a softer and more vertical lighting language perfectly integrated with wood textures and the warm tones of the interiors.
In the lobby, ten Flora Copper lamps become the protagonists of the entrance, diffusing an enveloping light that enhances the wooden walls and strengthens the dialogue between contemporary design and alpine tradition. These lighting compositions do more than illuminate the interiors: they define rhythm, spatial perception, and visual comfort, transforming every area into a sensory experience. Through wellness design, decorative lighting, and high-end hospitality, Hotel Spöl embodies a new vision of mountain hospitality — a place where architecture, nature, and light coexist in harmony, offering guests an immersive experience in the heart of Livigno.
