Sinotèca | L’Archivio del Tè was created as a space dedicated to discovering and experiencing Chinese tea, with a selection of more than 70 varieties. More than a place to buy and taste tea, it is an environment conceived to slow down the pace of everyday life, awaken the senses and turn the time spent inside into a moment of wellbeing.
The project, developed by architects Zoe Ielacqua and Laura Baffetti of Studio Ludolab, interprets this philosophy through an intimate and enveloping environment, where light becomes an integral part of the experience. The choice of Slamp’s Nuvem Velvet also stems from the owner’s long-standing passion for the brand, giving shape to an installation conceived to interact with Sinotèca’s identity.
Within the space, Nuvem Velvet by Miguel Arruda extends across the ceiling through its modular structure, creating an expansive and enveloping luminous presence. The Velvet finish and the geometry of the modules accompany the architecture with a suspended composition that helps define the atmosphere and visually characterize the environment.
At Sinotèca, light accompanies an experience built around the slow pace and ritual of tea. The Nuvem Velvet installation enters into dialogue with the space and its function, helping to create an intimate environment where architecture, light and tea culture become parts of a single narrative.
