General Director and Artistic Director Luca Mazza has completely transformed the recently purchased 2.000 sq. M hangar, just outside the company’s headquarters, into an enveloping showroom, a pavilion designed to feature the lighting brand’s newest and most iconic pieces and latest collections, immersing visitors in a luminous experience.
Wide black-paneled corridors immerse visitors in theatrical drama, encircled by a cobalt pavilion designed by Mazza, defined by symbolic geometries and unexpected plays of depth and perspective.
Miguel Arruda’s Nuvem frames the entrance. The system, composed of one-meter, hand folded, hexagonal modules, was originally inspired by the symbolism of a sculpture from 1980. Combined multiple modules transform into infinite decorative possibilities, from a floating, luminous ceiling to elements that imitate an artistic installation.
Zaha Hadid’s Aria and Avia are suspended in front of visitors walking into the space; each iconic version represents the dynamic, fluid, and visionary semantics that define the architect and designer. Hadid’s three dimensional masterpieces have ethereal “ribs” that span in color and finish, from luxurious gold or fading black edges, to a fully transparent cadence.
The circular spaces within invite the visitor to discover the very heart of the showroom, where Luca Mazza placed 6-meter mirrors to reflect a cascading kaleidoscope of 87 pieces from the Hugo collection that form an enigma, a pragmatic example of the endless possibilities Slamp brings to the design front.
“Unveil and Reveal” is an authentic constellation of the brand’s most iconic products. Adriano Rachele’s La Vie, Veli, La Belle Etòile, and Hanami are joined by Marc Sadler’s LaFleur and Accordéon, Kalatos by Elisa Giovannoni, Charlotte by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, and La Lollo by Designer Lorenza Bozzoli.
THE SHOWROOM CAN BE VISITED BY APPOINTMENT UNTIL DECEMBER 2021. AFTER WE WILL MAKE SPACE FOR THE NEW COLLECTIONS, TO BE RELEASED IN JANUARY 2022.
